Setting up Outlook 2003 Internet Mail
 
Description:
These instructions will instruct you on how to configure Internet Mail e-mail client within Outlook 2003.
 
Solution:
  1. Open Outlook 2003 and from the navigation menu click on TOOLS
  2. Select E-MAIL ACCOUNTS from the drop down menu.
  3. Select Add a new e-mail account and click NEXT
  4. Choose POP3 as your server type by clicking the radio button, and click Next.
     
  5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:
    User information:

    Your name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear in the FROM: field of your outgoing e-mail.
    E-mail Address:  Enter your full e-mail address (yourname@yourdomain.com)

    Server Information:

    Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.ahcomputers.net
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.ahcomputers.net

    Login Information:

    User Name: Enter your username.  This is not the same as your e-mail address and if you don't know it, please contact your mail administrator.
    Password: Enter your password

  6. Click More Settings and then click the Outgoing Server tab.
  7. Check the box next to the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  8. Click the Advanced tab and make sure your SMTP setting is set to 25 and the POP  POP setting says 110.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Test Account Settings... After receiving Congratulations! All tests completed successfully, click Close.
  11. Click Next, and then click Finish.
