Setting up Outlook 2000 Internet Mail

These instructions will instruct you on how to configure Internet Mail e-mail client within Outlook 2000.
 
Solution:
  1. Open Outlook 2000 and from the navigation menu click on TOOLS
  2. Click SERVICES from the drop down menu.
  3. On the SERVICES tab (first tab) highlight the entry for INTERNET E-MAIL.
  4. Click on the PROPERTIES button.
  5. Click on the SERVERS tab (second tab).
  6. Fill in the Outgoing Mail Server/SMTP, mail.ahcomputers.net
  7. Fill in the Incoming Mail Server. mail.ahcomputers.net
  8. Fill in the POP3 Account Name -Your personal UserID and password for this account.
  9. At the bottom of the page under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading, make sure the My server requires authentication checkbox is checked.
  10. Click on the Advanced tab
  11. Under the 'Delivery' heading, make sure the Leave a copy of messages on server box is checked.
  12. Click on OK.
  13. Exit the program.  The changes you've made will not take effect until you exit Outlook and restart the program.
